Client notes
Evidence from recent engagements
Short notes from people who commissioned sector watch for packaged-goods launches. Each refers to a specific briefing type on this site.
“The mid-quarter note caught a pack-size move we had only heard about second-hand. The closing call was denser than I expected—useful, though I still wished one banner in the sample had been swapped earlier.”
“We needed a calm comparison of three rival serums against our hero SKU. The dossier stuck to claims, prices, and facings, which made the brand meeting shorter.”
“Their visit-day photos showed our secondary display missing in two stores we thought were live. That single exception list changed our weekend check plan.”
“The briefing forced us to separate festival display noise from lasting shelf space before we locked our Vietnam timing. I would have liked more traditional-trade colour, but the modern-trade map was solid.”
“Having a shared launch log across quarters stopped our team from debating rumour. We still argue about response tactics—that part is on us—but the shelf facts are no longer fuzzy.”
Extended note: beverage launch watch, Q4
A regional beverage team asked for a quarterly watch across sparkling and still flavoured drinks in three modern-trade banners. Mid-cycle, the log showed a rival pack-size extension appearing with durable price rails in two banners while remaining display-only in the third.
The closing briefing separated that extension from a short-lived festival wrap on another SKU. The client used the distinction to hold their own trade story for one more reset cycle instead of matching the wrap. The reservation they shared afterward: they wished traditional wet-market colour had been in scope—something we do not claim unless commissioned separately.
